Our team in Aircraft Group is looking for a a Lab Technician on 1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm) to join them. You will report to the Lab Test Equipment supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Torrance, CA.
To be considered, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Current Security Clearance or the ability to pass a background check to obtain a Security Clearance
- 5 years or more experience working in a test lab working with mechanical, hydraulic, or electro-mechanical setups
- High quality and safety orientation
- Improve research/resolve complex problem
- Experience with test data applications such as NI DIAdem, MATLAB, and maintain spreadsheet are preferable
The Lab Technician's important objective is to conduct environmental and functional tests and measurements for new product development, and qualification.
As a Lab Technician, you will:
- Model the highest safety standards within the testing environment.
- Review test specifications and set up test units and associated support equipment per procedure.
- Inspect test setups to ensure both safety and test requirements have been satisfied.
- Perform tests per specifications while monitoring important parameters for compliance.
- Complete data sheets, create data plots, and keep a detailed test log.
- Maintain test environment and prepare data, plots, and test logs for review.
- Work with the engineering team in the preparation of data summaries and test reports.
- Help with the fabrication, assembly, and preventative maintenance of laboratory test equipment.

Salary Range:
California Residents: Pay range for this opportunity is $35-$40 per hour
