Center X is a community of educators, in the School of Education and Information Studies, working to transform public schooling to create a more just, equitable, and humane society. Director of California Reading and Literature Project: Major responsibilities include directing the California Reading and Literature Project (CRLP); developing funding; designing programs that meet teacher, school district, and university needs, aligning them to state and national standards, and administering programs. Teach and inform the reading methods course for the Teacher Education Program. Design, plan, and implement programs for novice and experienced reading teachers. Responsible for overseeing, developing, and administering professional development programs in alignment with the goals and vision of the California Subject Matter Projects. Major responsibilities include designing, planning, and administering programs including institutes, follow-up sessions, workshop series, conferences, and district-wide programs. Establish and maintain a liaison with local and county schools. Contribute to CRLP state committees on project policies.Percentage of Time:
