Legal Practice Management Consultant


 

streamlined.legal is searching for a Legal Practice Management Consultant. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Legal Practice Management and enjoy teaching both law firm owners, attorneys and admin team alike, the benefits of tracking their cases in a Practice Management software.

Experience with Legal Practice Management software is required, while being the person responsible for tracking a firm's cases in Clio is preferred.

This is a remote position with a fully remote team that relies heavily on Zoom for both our internal communications as well as meeting with our clients. Approximately 70% of your time will be spent meeting with law firm owners and their admin team via Zoom. You will need to be able to effectively document and track the work that you're doing through the use of time tracking in combination with project management tools. (No surprise, we use Clio internally as well as teaching it.) In short, we practice what we preach.

Specifically, our new Legal Practice Management Consultant will be responsible for:

  • General Duties
    • Work directly with law firm owners and their key team members to
      • Identify pain points and bottlenecks in current processes
      • Develop new policies and systems and streamline processes
      • Recommend software solutions to address issues and implement the improved processes
    • Develop written and/or video procedural guides and train law firm teams on same
    • Track law firms’ success post-implementation
    • Provide ongoing support to subscription clients
    • Act as lead team member and clients’ point of contact for implementation(s)
  • Foundations
    • Lead the Foundations team to ensure the success of clients engaging SL for Foundations implementations
    • Develop internal policies and processes to continually improve productivity and quick turn-around time while maintaining client satisfaction
    • Run Foundations Team meetings on a regular basis to address and resolve issues
    • Act as main point of contact for Foundations clients
    • Train SL team members on an as-needed basis
    • Work with law firm owners and key team members to
      • Clean up the data contained in their Clio account
      • Design, document and train on a consistent procedure to open and close new files in Clio
      • Design, document and train on a consistent procedure to review the firm's files on a regular basis to ensure that the firm is operating proactively
    • Lead internal team to
      • Clean up the client's Clio data
      • Develop written and/or video procedures and train clients’ teams on same
  • Calendar
    • Lead the Calendar Team to ensure the success of clients engaging SL for calendar implementations
    • Develop internal policies and processes to continually improve productivity and quick turn-around time while maintaining client satisfaction
    • Run Calendar Team meetings on a regular basis to address and resolve issues
    • Act as main point of contact for Calendar clients
    • Train SL team members on an as-needed basis
    • Work with law firm owners and key calendar team members to
      • Develop policies and procedures to increase productivity, ensure deadlines are met, and reduce team member burnout
      • Educate owner and team on best practices re: time management, time blocking, calendar usage, creating boundaries with team members and clients, and more
      • Determine which team members would benefit from the use of a scheduling tool
      • Determine which scheduling tool event types would benefit the Firm and its team members
    • Lead internal team to
      • Design and build scheduling tool event types and other customizations
      • Correctly setup each team members practice management calendar to ensure proper syncing and integration with all necessary software
      • Develop written and/or video calendar and scheduling tool procedures and train clients’ teams on same
